From surfing the morning swell to a sparkler sendoff, this seaside wedding blended COSTAL CHARM with TIMELESS elegance at The Breakers

There’s something extra special about a wedding at The Breakers when the couple grew up just minutes from its palm-lined drive. Logan and Griffin’s celebration wasn’t just beautiful — it was personal, layered, and completely reflective of who they are. From a sunrise surf session to a candlelit reception full of garden romance, this day felt like Palm Beach at its most magical.

Logan, founder of Logan Tay, brings coastal inspiration and modern fashion together in everything she creates. Her brand is rooted in the ocean — surfing culture, creativity, and effortless style. Griffin, steady and sharp in finance, is her perfect complement: thoughtful, calm, and deeply grounded.

They share a love for the water and the rhythm of Palm Beach life. So it felt entirely on-brand that the morning of their wedding began not with champagne… but with surfboards. That quiet, salty start set the tone for the entire day: intentional, joyful, and fully them.

When couples ask me how to choose their venue, I always say this: pick somewhere that already feels like you.

Logan and Griffin are both from Palm Beach. They’ve spent countless evenings at The Breakers Palm Beach — dinners, drinks, celebrations with family. It wasn’t just a luxury backdrop; it was part of their story. Their ceremony took place on the Ocean Lawn, overlooking the Atlantic with palm trees swaying behind them. November in Florida gifted us one of those golden, sun-filled days — warm but breezy, glowing but comfortable. The kind of weather that feels like a quiet gift.

A Breakers wedding in the fall means lush greens, ocean air, and that iconic pink façade in the distance. It’s gardenesque by nature — which made it the perfect canvas for what we designed next. The color palette was whimsical greens, layered with soft pinks, hints of orange, and buttery yellows. It felt playful but elevated — romantic without being overly formal.

We wanted the design to celebrate the softer side of their personalities while staying true to classic Palm Beach style. Think lush florals with movement. Candlelight woven into greenery. Textures that felt organic rather than overly structured. Everything was intentional — nothing fussy. The result? A setting that felt like an enchanted garden had quietly grown around them, with the ocean just beyond.

While the aesthetic was beautiful, the heart of the day was in the ceremony. At one point, family members joined Logan and Griffin for a collective moment of prayer. It was intimate and grounding — a reminder that while weddings are stunning productions, they are ultimately about legacy and love. One of my favorite moments of the day happened just after the ceremony. Instead of heading straight into cocktail hour, Logan and Griffin slipped down to the beach for portraits. The light was soft. The ocean — the place they started their day — stretched endlessly behind them. It felt poetic. Full circle.

This Breakers wedding felt effortless in the way only deeply planned celebrations can. Calm. Joyful. Elevated without losing warmth. There was laughter during toasts. Barefoot energy under black-tie attire. A couple completely present with their people. What looked seamless on the surface was supported by careful logistics, thoughtful design decisions, and a team working quietly behind the scenes — exactly how it should be. My role is always to hold the structure so my couples can hold each other. And on this November day in Palm Beach, that’s exactly what happened.
